Meet Joshua
So, what do I bring to our sessions? Picture this: a blend of genuine curiosity and honest concern. I don't do fake emotions, and our connection will be as authentic as it gets. Shedding tears? Well, there's a chance I'll be shedding a few with you (it's happened). And when you're conquering life's challenges, count on me to be your biggest cheerleader. No judgments here—we've all got our stories, and hey, nobody's perfect.
Why does all this matter? Whether you're navigating past traumas, stuck in a relationship loop, or simply lost in the dark trying to find a connection, I know you're doing your best. Sometimes, we all need a little help figuring things out or finding what we already know we need.
Enter yours truly! I've intentionally acquired skills like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the gold standard in relational counseling, and EMDR, a groundbreaking trauma treatment. With a toolbox full of tips, tricks, and insights gathered throughout my career, I'm here to accompany you on your journey to the best version of yourself or your relationship—maybe even both. I get it; you're tired of the fight. Let's dive into it once and for all.

Josh Marlar, LMFT
Hi! My name is Josh, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist at The Therapy for Families & ADHD Neurofeedback Clinic. While I am a native Texan from West Texas, I have recently moved to Houston with my wife of 15 years.
Welcome to my bio! You might be wondering how you ended up on a therapist's page—did you take a wrong turn or did fate bring you here? Well, either way, I'm thrilled to have you.
I've always been a naturally curious soul, and over the years, I've unintentionally become a repository of semi-useful information. Did you know that honey never spoils? Archaeologists have discovered pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that are over 3,000 years old and still perfectly edible. Now you're in on the secret. Somewhere along my journey, someone wise dropped the gem, "everything makes sense if you have all the information." I didn't think much of it then, but boy, did it change my life.
