Why did I open ADHD & Neurofeedback Clinic in The Woodlands & League City

Welcome to ADHD & Neurofeedback Clinic: Unleashing Potential from Within

Hello,  My name is Victoria Scott. I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 2011 and am the founder of the ADHD & Neurofeedback Clinic

I want to share a bit about my personal journey and the reason behind the creation of our clinic.

ADHD and neurofeedback are not just professional endeavors for me; they're deeply personal. Two of my four children, including myself, live with ADHD. Recognizing the vital genetic component of ADHD, I embarked on a proactive journey early in my first child's life.

There were subtle signs, echoes of my own experiences, that hinted at ADHD. It wasn't long before the school called me in for a meeting during his elementary years. We pursued various interventions – meditation, tutoring, school support, sports, and supplements.

My introduction to ADHD supplements came through Dr. Amen's book, "Healing ADD," where he outlined seven different types of ADHD. He is known as the brain scan doctor located in California. Tailoring supplements to my son's type mainly yielded positive results. Even armed with this knowledge, misconceptions about ADHD lingered, as they often do. The true impact of ADHD can be misunderstood and underestimated.

One of my misconceptions was that ADHD primarily manifests as academic struggles, but the pandemic brought a revelation about my daughter, the second oldest.

It became apparent that my daughter faced significant memory challenges, a struggle not shared by her ADHD-diagnosed brother. Contrary to my expectations, she excelled academically and embraced the academic difficulties of honors courses. It was an eye-opener, highlighting the diverse ways ADHD can manifest and challenging preconceived notions.

In navigating my children's ADHD journeys, I encountered neurofeedback – a therapeutic approach endorsed by Dr. Amen and his clinics. Convinced of its efficacy, my husband and our team became trained clinicians.

Neurofeedback presented an opportunity for unique, inside-out treatment, aligning with our deep-rooted desire for our children to flourish.

The ADHD & Neurofeedback Clinic is born out of a passion for making this transformative treatment accessible to others.

Our clinics in Woodlands and League City are not just spaces for neurofeedback; they are havens for unlocking the inherent potential within every individual.
